By ERNST E. ABEGG and BRADLEY S. KLAPPER, Associated Press Writers Ernst E. Abegg And Bradley S. Klapper, Associated Press Writers – 1 hr 35 mins ago
ZURICH – Director Roman Polanski was arrested by Swiss police as he flew in for the Zurich Film Festival and faces possible extradition to the United States for having sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977, authorities said Sunday.
Polanski was scheduled to receive an honorary award at the festival when he was apprehended Saturday at the airport, the Swiss Justice Ministry said in a statement. It said U.S. authorities have sought the arrest of the 76-year-old director around the world since 2005.
"There was a valid arrest request and we knew when he was coming," ministry spokesman Guido Balmer told The Associated Press. "That's why he was taken into custody."
Polanski, the director of such classic films as "Chinatown" and "Rosemary's Baby," fled the U.S. for France in 1978, a year after pleading guilty to unlawful sexual intercourse with the underage girl.
Polanski has asked a U.S. appeals court in California to overturn a judges' refusal to throw out his case. He claims misconduct by the now-deceased judge who had arranged a plea bargain and then reneged on it.
His victim, Samantha Geimer, who long ago identified herself publicly, has joined in Polanski's bid for dismissal, saying she wants the case to be over. She sued Polanski and reached an undisclosed settlement.
Justice Minister Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf said the director will remain in Zurich until the conclusion of the extradition proceedings. The United States now has 60 days to file a formal request for Polanski's transfer, she said.
A U.S. Justice Department spokeswoman in Washington declined to comment on the case Sunday.
Polanski's French lawyer, Georges Kiejman, told France-Inter radio that it was "too early to know" if Polanski would be extradited.
"The proceedings must take their course," he said Sunday. "For now we are trying to have the arrest warrant lifted in Zurich."
Kiejman later told The Associated Press that France does not extradite its citizens and that U.S. authorities had never asked France to prosecute Polanski at home.
Balmer said Polanski's arrest was not influenced by politics, even though the director has often traveled or stayed in the country. Novelist Robert Harris, whose book "Ghost" is being made into a movie by the director, told Britain's Press Association that Polanski owns a house in Gstaad, which he has visited regularly while filming in Germany, and that there was never any warning he faced arrest.
In the Swiss capital of Bern, Widmer-Schlumpf told reporters that Switzerland had only one legal option for dealing with Polanski's visit, and rejected the idea that there was any U.S. pressure in ordering the arrest.
"I know his films, they impressed me very much," she said, but she underlined that Polanski could not be given special treatment because of his artistic talent, especially because the warrant was not for a trivial complaint.
Switzerland joined Europe's passport-free area in 2008 and ended all passport checks in March on flights to and from the 24 other countries participating in the agreement. Even before then, it rarely closely monitored the identities of travelers from neighboring European countries entering Switzerland.
Balmer also rejected that the arrest was somehow aimed at winning favor with the U.S. after a series of bilateral spats over tax evasion and wealthy Americans stashing money at Swiss banking giant UBS AG.
"There is no link with any other issues in question," he told The AP.
Investigators in the U.S. learned of Polanski's planned trip days ago, giving them enough time to lay the groundwork for an arrest, said William Sorukas, chief of the U.S. Marshals Service's domestic investigations branch.
"There have been other times through the years when we have learned of his potential travel but either those efforts fell through or he didn't make the trip," Sorukas told the AP.
Earlier this year, Superior Court Judge Peter Espinoza in Los Angeles dismissed Polanski's bid to throw out the case because the director failed to appear in court to press his request, but said there was "substantial misconduct" in the handling of the original case.
In his ruling, Espinoza said he reviewed not only legal documents, but also watched the HBO documentary, "Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired," which suggests there was behind-the-scenes manipulations by a now-retired prosecutor who was not assigned to the case.
Polanski has lived for the past three decades in France, where his career has continued to flourish; he received a directing Oscar in absentia for the 2002 movie "The Pianist." He is married to French actress Emanuelle Seigner, with whom he has two children.
He has avoided traveling to countries likely to extradite him. For instance, he testified by video link from Paris in a 2005 libel trial in London against Vanity Fair magazine. He did not want to enter Britain for fear of being arrested.
Rolf Haferkamp, a spokesman for prosecutors in Duisburg, Germany, declined to comment on why Polanski was not detained or arrested in Germany when he visited in 2008.
In Paris, Culture Minister Frederic Mitterrand said that he was in contact with French President Nicolas Sarkozy "who is following the case with great attention and shares the minister's hope that the situation can be quickly resolved."
Mitterrand added that he was "dumbfounded" by Polanski's arrest, adding that he "strongly regrets that a new ordeal is being inflicted on someone who has already experienced so many of them."
Those comments referred, in part, to the fact that Polanski, a native of France who was taken to Poland by his parents, escaped Krakow's Jewish ghetto as a child during World War II and lived off the charity of strangers. His mother died at the Nazis' Auschwitz death camp.
Polanski worked his way into filmmaking in Poland, gaining an Oscar nomination for best foreign-language film in 1964 for his "Knife in the Water." Offered entry to Hollywood, he directed the classic "Rosemary's Baby" in 1968.
But his life was shattered again in 1969 when his wife, actress Sharon Tate, and four other people were gruesomely murdered in Los Angeles by followers of cult figure Charles Manson. Tate was eight months pregnant at the time.
Polanski went on to make another American classic, "Chinatown," released in 1974.
In 1977, he was accused of raping the teenager while photographing her during a modeling session. The girl said Polanski plied her with champagne and part of a Quaalude pill at Jack Nicholson's house while the actor was away. She said that, despite her protests, he performed oral sex, intercourse and sodomy on her.
Polanski was allowed to plead guilty to one of six charges, unlawful sexual intercourse, and was sent to prison for 42 days of evaluation.
Lawyers agreed that would be his full sentence, but the judge tried to renege on the plea bargain. Aware the judge would sentence him to more prison time and require his voluntary deportation, Polanski fled.
Zurich Film Festival organizers said Polanski's detention had caused "shock and dismay," but said they would go ahead with Sunday's planned retrospective of the director's work, including "Knife in the Water," "Chinatown" and "The Pianist." The festival runs from Sept. 24 to Oct. 4.
The Swiss Directors Association sharply criticized authorities for what it deemed "not only a grotesque farce of justice, but also an immense cultural scandal."
France's Foreign Ministry said the French ambassador to Switzerland and the consul general in Zurich have contacted Swiss authorities about arranging a consular visit for Polanski.
Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner spoke to his Swiss counterpart, Micheline Calmy-Rey, to urge that "Polanski's rights be fully respected and that the case would quickly result in a favorable outcome," the statement said.

Hassan Nemazee
Hassan Nemazee, a multimillionaire Iranian-American investment banker and top Democratic Party fundraiser, was arrested today by federal law enforcement authorities in New York City and charged with engaging in criminal fraud for his role in arranging a $74 million dollar loan from Citibank, Bloomberg reported.
U.S. Attorney Prett Bharara in New York City and FBI investigators told Dow Jones Newswires the 59-year-old Namazee applied for the Citibank loans for Nemazee Capital Corp. by giving Citibank "numerous documents that purported to establish the existence of accounts in Nemazee's name at various financial institutions containing many hundreds of millions of dollars."
According to the criminal complaint released by Bharara, the accounts Nemazee submitted in the loan documentation were "fraudulent and forged" and "either never existed or had been closed years before Nemazee submitted the documents referencing those accounts."
The criminal complaint alleged Nemazee's fraudulent scheme began in December 2006, when he first approached Citibank to borrow $25 million. He recently raised the sum to $80 million.

Yesterday, Nemazee evidently paid back more than $74 million to Citibank after being questioned Sunday by federal law enforcement agents at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey as he was attempting to board a flight to Rome, Italy.
Nemazee was charged with one count of bank fraud, which carries a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison and a fine of $1 million or twice the gain/loss resulting from the alleged crime.
Top fund-raiser
Nemazee is well known in political circles as a major Democratic Party fund-raiser since the late-1990s.
In 1998, President Clinton nominated Nemazee to be ambassador to Argentina but withdrew the nomination after Forbes magazine published an extremely damaging review of Nemazee's business career.
On May 3, 1999, Forbes wrote, "Over the past four years Nemazee and his family have given more than $150,000 to Democratic politicians and the DNC. Six of Nemazee's friends and relatives have given $10,000 apiece – the maximum allowable per year – to Bill Clinton's legal defense fund."
In his 2005 book "Atomic Iran: How the Terrorist Regime Bought the Bomb and American Politicians," WND senior staff reporter and columnist Jerome R. Corsi targeted Nemazee for his alleged history of pushing to normalize diplomatic relationships with the theocratic regime ruling Iran, despite Iran's pursuit of a clandestine nuclear weapons program.
In 2004, Nemazee served as New York finance chairman for Sen. John Kerry's presidential campaign, a position in which he raised approximately $500,000 in bundled campaign contributions.
Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign website listed Nemazee as being in the top tier of Kerry's contributors nationwide, one of some 60 people credited with raising $100,000 or more for the campaign. The amount earned Nemazee the designation of vice chairman to Kerry's campaign.
On Oct. 18, 2004, Corsi attended a deposition in New York City in which Nemazee was questioned under oath by legal counsel for Aryo Pirouznia, the leader of the Student Movement Coordination Committee for Democracy in Iran.
Nemazee had sued Pirouznia in a $10 million defamation suit in which Nemazee charged that Pirouznia had defamed him by calling him an agent of the religious clerics ruling Iran.
According to Corsi's book, Pirouznia had charged that Nemazee was utilizing his resources, including investment funds Nemazee managed in Nemazee Capital Corp., to further the interests of the religious rulers in Tehran in the formation of U.S. foreign policy toward Iran.
The lawsuit was ultimately settled out of court.
On Sept. 30, 2004, in the first nationally televised presidential debate with President George W. Bush, Kerry said the United States should provide nuclear fuel to Iran to test them, "to see whether or not they were actually looking for it for peaceful purposes."
This was basically the same plan the Clinton administration had tried with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il in 1994 under an "Agreed Framework" in which the Clinton administration handed over to North Korea enough nuclear fuel to run two nuclear power plants.
After the delivery of the nuclear fuel by the Clinton administration, Kim Jong-Il withdrew from the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty and proceeded to make nuclear warheads for North Korea's Nodong missiles.
In 2008, Nemazee was a national chairman for Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign before raising more than $500,000 for Sen. Barack Obama's campaign after the Democratic National Convention last August, the New York Times reported.

Article history
Much hope has been invested in Barack Obama's ability to strike a new course for the US following eight years of Bush administration unpopularity. Yet many in the US and abroad are impatient with the pace of progress under the Obama administration. The president made the rounds on five news talkshows on Sunday as he pressed his policies and vision, preparing for what is likely to be a difficult week.
Besides the ongoing battle over healthcare, this week sees two showdowns between Europe and the US that will reveal further slippage in American global leadership. The first showdown comes today at a UN special session on climate change in New York City; the second will come at the end of the week at the G20 meeting in Pittsburgh, where America and Europe will butt heads over financial system reforms designed to ensure that the AIGs of the world can never again cause an economic collapse.
Europe has been increasingly critical of America's failures to live up to its global responsibilities. The US is not only the world's largest emitter of greenhouse gases but is by far the largest per capita emitter of carbon and other pollutants. China comes close to the US in terms of total carbon emissions, but it has four times more people, who each belch far less individually. Europe, while having much the same high living standard, has an "ecological footprint" that is only half of America's, since Europe has taken leadership in implementing renewable technologies and conservation practices.
On the campaign trail, Barack Obama promised to reverse the Bush administration's terrible ecological record. Yet so far the world has seen more symbolic gestures from the Obama administration than accomplishments. Its biggest achievement so far has been a disappointment. President Obama signed an executive order to increase US motor vehicle mileage standards – but only to a level that will push fuel efficiency by 2020 to a level that European and Japanese cars reached several years ago, and even China has already achieved.
Europe has announced donations of $2bn to $15bn a year for the next decade to help developing nations cope with climate warming, yet the Obama administration has not offered anything close to that amount. Europe also wants binding, near-term targets for developed nations, proposing a 20% reduction from 1990 levels by 2020, or 30% if everyone agrees. The Bush administration of course rejected such targets – but now it looks like the Obama administration is not willing to go much further. It has said such targets should be voluntary but verifiable.
With the US Senate bogged down in the fight over reforming healthcare, American leaders have said that the senators might not move on climate legislation until 2010, well after the global climate change conference in Copenhagen in December. That drew a sharp response from John Bruton, head of the European Union delegation: "The United States is just one of the 190 countries coming to this conference," Bruton said, "but the United States emits 25% of all the greenhouse gases that the conference is trying to reduce. I submit that asking an international conference to sit around looking out the window for months, while one chamber of the legislature of one country deals with its other business, is simply not a realistic political position."
Even Europe's conservative politicians, such as Connie Hedegaard, Denmark's minister of climate and energy, are expressing impatience: "It's rather crucial that the US can show a credible pathway," Hedegaard said, pointing out that the US emits twice as much carbon dioxide per capita as Denmark, without gaining anything in improving its quality of life.
That's the start of President Obama's week. At the end of it, President Obama will appear at a meeting in Pittsburgh of the G20, a bloc of both developed and developing nations, representing 85% of the world's economic output and most of its population. On the table will be reforms designed to avoid a repetition of the financial panic and global economic collapse perceived as having originated on Wall Street. Despite immense, taxpayer-financed rescue packages needed to overcome the crisis, the financial sector in the US is rapidly returning to business as usual. Indeed, three US banks – Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan – which received some $45bn of bailout aid, each paid billions of dollars more in bonuses in 2009 than they earned in 2008.
Here again, Europe is leading, while the Obama administration is dragging its feet. Europe has proposed far-reaching reforms designed to impose new rules on executive pay and bonuses, requiring that banks link pay to long-term rather than short-term performance, and that they "claw back" any bonuses received in the face of losses. Europe wants a financial police force that has powers to slash payments where investments prove to have failed, and to force boardrooms to control levels of speculation. Europe also wants to block the exercising of stock options for set periods and expose top bank directors to penalties, following huge payouts to failed bank chiefs.
The Obama administration's approach has been much more tepid, to say the least. The US financial industry, as expected, is fighting these reforms, but what do we make of a recent quote by President Obama questioning the need for supporting Europe's proposals. "Why is it," he asked during a recent interview, "that we're going to cap executive compensation for Wall Street bankers but not Silicon Valley entrepreneurs or [American] football players?"
Besides the fact that President Obama was wrong – the National Football League does have salary restrictions – Silicon Valley businesses and NFL quarterbacks don't cause an economic collapse when they screw up. It's very sobering that, if David Letterman read that quote on his TV show and asked his audience: "Who made this clueless statement, former President Bush or President Obama?" we know what the response would be. Or would have been.
In response to American foot-dragging, European leader Jean-Claude Juncker said Europe should act on the bonus issue "whether the Americans are with us or not." He said that a Europe-only charge "will take on such force over time that the Americans will not be able to sit on the sidelines."
Many leaders and supporters are beginning to wonder what is causing this growing gap between the Barack Obama that many people saw on the campaign trail, and the Obama they see in the White House? Beyond Obama's oratorical skills, which excited not only American voters but people all over the world, he is mostly untested as a politician. His previous experience was only a few years in the US Senate and a few years more as a state senator. A sinking feeling is arising among many that President Obama may not be up to the task, that he may not possess the artful skills needed to accomplish even his own goals.
But it must be recognised that it's not just Obama's shortcomings that are causing the problem. The very structure of the American political system is at the heart of these failures. For example, thwarting Obama on a regular basis is an unrepresentative senate where "minority rule" prevails and undermines what a majority of the country may want. With two senators elected per state, regardless of population, California with more than 35 million people has the same number of senators as Wyoming with just half a million residents. This constitutional arrangement greatly favours low population states, many of which tend to be conservative, producing what one political analyst has called "a weighted vote for small-town whites in pickup trucks with gun racks."
In addition, the senate's use of that arcane rule known as the "filibuster" means you need 60 out of 100 votes to stop unlimited debate on a bill and move to a vote. A mere 41 senators, representing as little as 20% of the nation's population, can stymie the other 80%. Given a vastly unrepresentative senate wielding its anti-majoritarian filibuster, it is hardly surprising that minority rule in the senate consistently undermines majority rule, whether on healthcare, financial industry reform, environmental legislation and many other policies.
Pile on to that an uncompetitive, winner-take-all electoral system, marinated in money and special interest influence, and the sclerotic US political scene is deeply troubling. None of these anti-democratic structural features are going away any time soon. Unless Barack Obama is able to demonstrate a better level of political skill than he has shown so far, everyone needs to fasten their seatbelts. The world is about to enter a challenging phase where the US – the undisputed leader of the free world for the past 60 years – is going to rapidly cede its place at the head of the line.
It appears that the wheels may be coming off the world's post-war leader, and not even Barack Obama can stop it happening.

Surviving a Medical Meltdown

Could You And Your Family Survive A Dangerous Medical Meltdown?
Learn How You Can Make Powerful Herbal Medicines Secretly in Your Kitchen
Amazing "Must Have" Course Lets You Prepare Your Own Powerful Herbal Remedies If All Hell Breaks Loose And You Can't Get To A Doctor

The existence of these incredible videos has enraged and shocked some professionals because they reveal the secrets of making herbal remedies in the privacy of your own home. This course contains blacklisted information establishment bureaucrats had hoped the average person would NEVER have access to. If you would like to learn the lost art of preparing herbal remedies, you absolutely MUST see these amazing videos while they are still available.
From: Consumer ReporterWednesday, 7:35 a.m.
Dear Friend:
Our inside sources in Congress have just informed us that new regulation once again targets herbal remedies in the war against freedom of choice in health care. To monopolize the market, the pharmaceutical companies are pushing for new strict FDA regulations, and whenever possible, a new outright ban on many herbs. A total ban on raw herbs will be difficult, considering that herbs grow wild in practically every field and backyard in the country. What they can ban, however, is the production and the sale of herbal products. And, believe it or not, that is already happening. *Thanks to the work of the FDA, the sale of comfrey teas, extracts and tinctures has practically been eliminated. Herbs and/or herbal preparations of blood root, blessed thistle, centaury, calamus root, linden, lobelia, yarrow and vervain are some others, just to name a few on this list.*The FDA placed the herb Jin Bu Huan on its long list of Chinese herbal medicines already banned from importation. The list of banned herbs and herbal preparations is long. And it’s getting longer everyday now that the “cradle to grave” party (and their lobbyist comrades) has complete control of Congress. Banning the sale and/or import of herbal remedies is only part of what’s coming.
Get Ready To See Just How Dirty These Guys Can Play When It Comes To Keeping Herbal Medicines Off The Over-The-Counter Market.
Next, the public will be hoodwinked into believing herbal remedies are dangerous and only the pharmaceutical companies have the know-how and expertise to formulate these medicines. They’re not going to tell you how Oriental doctors have been making plant medicines for thousands of years. Nor will you hear how Native Americans have safely converted medicinal plants into extracts, tinctures, balms and other medicines for centuries in this country. If their plan works, the drug companies will bury these simple, yet very effective, ancient techniques.

Knowing Exactly How To Mix Herbal Preparations Provides A Great Emergency Backup Plan!
Misinformation Campaigns Are “Old Hat” To Pharmaceutical Companies. They Have Become Experts At Manipulating The Media And Using The Regulators To Strong-Arm Anybody That Gets In Their Way.
Remember the egg scare a few years ago? Well-orchestrated efforts convinced this entire country that eggs were the worst food ever consumed by man. It was part of the pharmaceutical industry’s scheme to wage war against cholesterol. Quite conveniently, the “war on cholesterol” just happened to coincide with the development of a new class of drugs designed to lower cholesterol levels. Even 25 years later, after hundreds of studies have proven that eggs have absolutely nothing to do with heart disease or cholesterol levels, doctors and patients alike are still afraid to eat this almost perfect food.
Doctors fall for these propaganda campaigns quicker than anyone!
It's not too surprising, considering their "continuing education" comes mostly from drug salesmen. Heck, they’re still telling patients polyunsaturated oils and margarine are safe. For the last 15 years, research has shown that margarine and these highly processed vegetable oils are worse for your heart than natural substances like butter, olive or flax oil. Whether we like it or not, doctors are joined at the hip with the pharmaceutical industry. The pharmaceutical companies fund drug studies to get approval. Once the drug has been approved, insurance companies will pay doctors to prescribe it to their patients. Prescribing unapproved drugs or unconventional natural treatments aren’t encouraged in our society. Doing so, subjects the doctors to harassment, peer pressure and even malpractice lawsuits. Don’t count on your doctor to show you how to make or use natural medicines. It’s not going to happen. When was the last time you heard of a doctor recommending licorice root for the treatment of ulcers or stomach problems? Their choice of treatment has been Tagamet. Even when research studies proved that licorice root was a more effective cure for ulcers than Tagamet, doctors still made Tagamet the most frequently prescribed drug in history. Now that Tagamet’s patent protection has expired, the FDA is allowing the drug to be sold over-the- counter. (Maybe you can explain to me, how one minute, Tagamet is so dangerous that the FDA will only allow it to be prescribed under the supervision of a physician, and the next minute, deemed so safe that it can be sold to anyone over—the-counter?)
Could You HelpYour Family If A Crisis Closed Your Drug Store?

The Pharmaceutical Companies And Their Strong-Arm Partner, The Regulatory Muscle Of Government, Play Hardball. They Have One Major Interest In Mind. And It’s Not Your Health And Well-Being.
Their interest is pure and simple… profit. This is another excellent example of what I call the “Golden Rule”… The one with the most gold makes the rules. (It should be no surprise to learn that many of the top bureaucrats at the FDA eventually leave their jobs to find higher-paying positions awaiting them in the pharmaceutical industry. That’s that ol’ saying about the fox guarding the hen house?) I honestly don’t know what will become of herbal preparations in this country. Currently, there seems to be a fairly strong movement toward promoting natural remedies, and I try to remain optimistic. But as a matter of survival, I’ve learned to hope for the best, while preparing for the worst. I’ve seen too many shenanigans orchestrated by our country’s regulators to be naive enough to believe herbal preparations will be left alone. There’s simply too much money at stake.
History Has Shown That When A Natural, Unpatentable Therapy Threatens The Profits Of The Pharmaceutical Industry, It Usually Gets Squashed Like A Bug Hitting A Windshield.
Five years ago, roughly 85% of the world’s population relied on herbal preparations as their sole form of medicine. That figure is now closer to 60%. This percentage will continue to decline rapidly as Western communications and technology invade even the most remote villages of the world. The pharmaceutical companies see these new areas as vast markets. What makes them even more attractive, is the lack of regulations and restrictions on advertising claims. (In Peru, one drug company recently offered a free bottle of wine to anyone there who purchased at least three boxes of its congestion product!)
This push by the pharmaceutical companies also results in a loss of extremely valuable knowledge, the knowledge of how to prepare and use herbal medicines.
U.S. and European pharmaceutical companies are currently isolating single compounds from herbs in an effort to come up with the next miracle drug or “silver bullet.” Traditional herbal practitioners, particularly the Chinese, with over 2,500 years of experience, say this is the wrong approach. They feel that an herb’s real potential can only be realized by using parts of the whole plant. Their experience has shown that nature has a way of combining specific compounds and chemicals that work in conjunction with one another. This harmony accounts for the lack of harmful side effects, the gentle healing effects and the ability of whole herbal preparations to enhance the overall immune system. Our Western culture isn’t set up to recognize combinations of chemicals, like those found in herbs. In this country, a drug can only be patented or approved by the FDA if it is a pure compound with very specific biological effects. And without patent protection and FDA approval, the huge profits won’t follow. Unapproved medicines are doomed for failure, regardless of how effective they might be. The information on how to actually make herbal medicines has always been a fairly close-guarded secret. Chinese palace physicians secretly passed it down from one dynasty to the next. Shamans and folk healers hand-picked their apprentices. For thousands of years, this knowledge proved to be some of the most valuable of all. It could become priceless in just the next few years.
I realize that even if you had the time to learn these priceless techniques, you would have to track down a willing Chinese palace physician, or folk healer to teach you.
Well, I’ve taken care of that for you. As you’ll see in a minute, I’ve located one of the finest teachers in the world when it comes to herbal medicines. This frightening trend toward regulation and the outright banning of certain powerful natural remedies has been accelerating since President Obama took office. And if things really turn nasty, as many insiders are now predicting, I still want you to be able to care for yourself and your family. I want you to have the most powerful tool available… the ability to produce your own natural medicines.I’m not talking about opening your own factory or using some complicated process. You can use the same simple techniques used by Native Americans, Chinese physicians and folk healers. You can make medicines like bitters, teas, foot powders, eye washes, face creams, lotions, tooth powders, facial scrubs, throat lozenges and hundreds of other powerful healing remedies. And you can do it in just a matter of minutes, right in your own kitchen!
For The Last Eighteen Months, I’ve Been Searching For The Best Way To Get This Information In Your Hands.
I’ve literally researched herbal cures from around the world. I’ve interviewed hundreds of herbal practitioners. I’ve reviewed every single teaching aid I could find. Although I met some very knowledgeable people and discovered hundreds of good publications, nothing I could find was concise, simple and easy to use. Just when I had made the decision to produce my own program, I finally found it. I found the perfect teacher and the perfect program for learning the secrets of collecting, preparing, preserving, storing and using herbal medicines. And as much as I hate to admit it, this program is far better than anything I could have produced on my own. Debra Nuzzi St. Claire is a Master Herbalist who has been studying and teaching herbal medicine for the last 20 years. She has taught and lectured internationally on the preparation and use of herbs. She has formulated over 270 products for the natural health care industry. And, she has developed the most phenomenal herbal program I have ever seen. It is called, “Herbal Preparations and Natural Therapies — Creating and Using a Home Herbal Medicine Chest.” Her program consists of four hours of training on three DVDs and a 150-page reference manual. The quality of the information is outstanding. Watching this program is like watching something straight from The Discovery Channel. It is spellbinding. Once you start watching, you can’t leave the room. Debra begins by going into the field and showing you the correct way to identify, collect and protect wild herbs. This section is followed by very detailed, yet extremely simple, methods of making herbal medicines. As she shows you exactly how to make every type of herbal preparation imaginable, you can follow along in your own kitchen and produce the exact same products. You can make black cherry cough syrup and then turn it into lozenges. You can prepare dozens of useful healing remedies like poultices for warts and varicose veins, burn ointments, lip balm, baby salve, bug repellent, vinegar, clay facial masks, herbal baths and on and on. You’ll learn how to make standardized extracts, tinctures and powders for encapsulation from any herb or herb formula you desire. When you finish watching these tapes, you’ll know more about the preparation of herbs than 99.9% of the doctors in this country. And believe me, it could turn out to be some of the most precious information you’ll ever learn. Here's Just A Few Samples Of The Materials Covered On This Program:

*Very Important: This program is designed to be extremely comprehensive. However, it is being sold for emergency preparedness only. It is not in any way intended to replace conventional medicine or your doctor. If you are sick, you should see a health care professional. Please understand, that herbal medicines can backfire. In fact, misuse of the powerful protocols in this course could even be hazardous to your health!
This Unique Program Was Not Produced For The General Public!
It was produced strictly as a comprehensive teaching aid for some of the most prestigious herbal schools in the world. It’s been used to train some of the top herbalists in both this country and abroad. Needless to say, Debra was somewhat confused (and reluctant) when I approached her about offering the program to Solutions From Science customers. After all, renowned herbal colleges use it as an advanced class and the cost to their students is often $299 or more. And while it’s worth every bit of $299, at that price, I knew a lot of our customers would not be able to afford it. That’s when I began to wheel and deal with Debra.
The Details That Debra And I Finally Agreed To Are Kind Of Complicated, But The Deal We’ve Worked Out, Is Without A Doubt, One Of The Best Deals I Have Ever Made For Solutions From Science Customers. I Think You’ll Agree.
If I could somehow get it to you free, I would! But that’s not possible. I’ve done the next best thing. I’ve convinced Debra St. Claire to subsidize most of the cost of the program! It turns out to be a win-win situation for everyone. Here’s why: Debra St. Claire wants the opportunity of letting more people learn about her lifelong work with herbs. She can do this by making it available to people like yourself. (She knows there’s no more savvy or informed group than Solutions From Science customers.) Most importantly, from this deal you get an unbelievable health tool that may never be available again to the public. Call it a survival program. Call it cheap insurance. Call it whatever you want. It is one of the most valuable health tools you’ll ever own. Anyway, these are the details that everybody finally agreed to. *First, Solutions From Science can only offer a limited number of these programs to its readers. *Debra St. Claire has the right to pull the plug on this deal at any time. *As long as the program is available, however, Solutions From Science customers can purchase it outright for half–price at $149.95 instead of $299.00
Without Knowing How To Turn Raw Herbs Into Remedies... Many Americans Will Suffer Greatly.

Nowhere else will you find this information. (I know, I’ve been searching for almost two years.) Even worse, in the very near future it may not be available at any cost.
This Is Exactly The Type Of Knowledge That Some People Would Like To Have Censored.
Medicare and insurance cutbacks are becoming a reality. And health care costs continue to spiral out of control. Without knowing how to produce herbal remedies, many sick patients will have no other choice than to use conventional medicines. Just as it has been in the past, the pharmaceutical companies will be able to milk billions of dollars in profits each year from the unsuspecting public. And sadly, patients will get sicker and sicker from treating the symptoms of disease instead of the under1ying cause. I’ve always wanted to teach these simple, yet very powerful, methods of herbal preparation so that our customers could be prepared in a crisis. A book, however, just isn’t the best format. After seeing this program, I know you’ll agree. This program is the easiest and most enjoyable way to learn about the preparation and versatile healing power of herbs. Whether you intend to make your own herbal capsules, powders, tinctures, balms, etc., or just have the program for your disaster preparedness library, you won’t be disappointed. I should add, the massive 150-page reference guide contains scores of recipes, photos and an extensive resource section outlining where you can buy bulk, raw herbs to use in your formulas.
Home Made Herbal Remedies Can Be Extremely Valuable In A Crisis!
Remember, these herbal medicines are powerful and have been used by many cultures for thousands of years because they have a demonstrated history of working. Modern medicine is only beginning to tap the power in plant extracts that was known and used in the beginning. Plant extracts are truly God’s gift to us. We find very early in the Bible the use of herbs as we read in Genesis:“During wheat harvest, Reuben went out into the fields and found some mandrake plants, which he brought to his mother Leah. Rachel said to Leah, "Please give me some of your son's mandrakes." Genesis 30:13-15So here's the deal: I'm doing the best I can to get folks prepared in the event our current health care system gets overwhelmed or breaks down. Frankly, I think the days of thinking that your local doctor will always be available are coming to an end. Many of our friends who are physicians know where this whole thing is going and want out. Every socialist country experiences eventual shortages for that reason. So... all in all... you're saving $149.00 off what some colleges charge for this training package. You’ll receive perhaps the most important training in your life, but...
Whatever You Do, Don’t Wait Around For Some Crisis Or Outbreak To Buy This Program. Think Ahead About The Tools You Will Need In A Real Medical Meltdown. This Program Is A Must Have For People Who Plan Ahead.
Additionally, Debra St. Claire’s program, “Herbal Preparations and Natural Therapies — Creating and Using a Home Herbal Medicine Chest,” will provide you with some of the most powerful healing tools that have been developed during the last 2,500 years. Yours for Crisis Preparedness, Mike Walters Consumer Reporter P.S. Please keep in mind, however, we only have a limited number of Debra St. Claire’s program to offer our customers. I urge you to act as quickly as possible to order before new legislation makes the information provided on this course illegal. To take advantage of this special limited offer, click on the "Buy Now" link below or call.

South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson's son defended him Wednesday against a charge by former President Jimmy Carter that the congressman's "You lie" outburst during a speech by President Obama was racist.
"There is not a racist bone in my dad's body," said Alan Wilson, who is running for state attorney general in South Carolina. "He doesn't even laugh at distasteful jokes."
The day before, Carter called Wilson's outburst "dastardly" and "based on racism."
"There is an inherent feeling among many in this country that an African-American should not be president," the former president, a Democrat, said. He was responding to an audience question at a town hall meeting at his presidential center in Atlanta.
The elder Wilson, a Republican, was formally rebuked Tuesday in a House vote for shouting "You lie!" during Obama's speech to Congress last Wednesday.
The shout came after the president said illegal aliens would be ineligible for federal subsidies to buy health insurance.
"It's unfortunate people make that jump," Wilson's son said of Carter's claim. "People can disagree - and appropriately disagree - on issues of substance, but when they make the jump to race it's absolutely ludicrous. My brothers and I were raised by our parents to respect everyone regardless of background or race."
Carter said Joe Wilson's outburst was a part of a trend against Obama that has included demonstrators equating him to Nazi leaders.
"Those kind of things are not just casual outcomes of a sincere debate on whether we should have a national program on health care," Carter said. "It's deeper than that."
The rare Congressional rebuke of Wilson was pushed through by Democrats angry that the Republican had violated rules of decorum and civility. Some Republicans, though, characterized the measure as a witch hunt.
Wilson, who apologized to Obama, insisted he owed the House no apology.
South Carolina's former Democratic Party chairman also said he doesn't believe Wilson is a racist.
"I think Joe's conduct was asinine, but I think it would be asinine no matter what the color of the president," said Dick Harpootlian. "I don't think Joe's outburst was caused by President Obama being African-American. I think it was caused by no filter being between his brain and his mouth."

A lack of interaction with other races leads to an insensitivity when disagreements come about. This goes for both Black and white. As evidenced by the numbers the repugnicans are the party of favor with whites, this lack of participation by minorities in the party makes the ability to disregard the legitimacy of others by the white majority a lot easier because there is no interaction with the other races in large measure. Yes Michael Steele is the "Chairman" of the repugnican party but it's interesting that he got to that position only after President Obama was elected. You can fool some of the people some of the time...

To Joe Wilson's son, we truly believe that you are right in believing that there is not a strand of Racism in your dad's DNA. Those who stood by on 08/07/1930 cheering for the death of one of God's children (James Cameron), we are sure, will vividly declare themselves non racial then, and now if questioned. Nefarious & cataclysmic racism toward Black Men is disgustingly understood. Thank goodness for brothers like President Carter and his like that speak up. Racists anywhere & everywher who, particularly HATE black men are like folks who pick their noses and swipe their fingers at the lips. It's normal! Unless there is someone else who inadvertently notices. May God Bless Us All.

If anyone thinks there is not racism in this country and people are not upset about having a Black Man as President they have their head in the sand. Here in SC there are confederate flags flying all over this place, especially in Lexington County. There are some areas as an African American I will not go into because people look at me and treat me as though I have some type of sickness. I went into a store to make a purchase and the salesperson would not even put my change in my hand she laid it on the counter, this has occured more than once these people were afraid to touch my hand. Joe Wilson's son said his father does not have a racist bone in his body, well I live in Lexington County which Joe Wilson represents and there are some of the most racist people in the world living here. I am not saying all people in SC are racist but you bet your last dollar they do exist here and I can verify that so dont call Jimmy Carter crazy or anything else he knows what he is talking about.

Is Joe Wilson still a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans? Does he condone the activities of the "Lunatic" faction that now controls the SCV? Does Joe Wilson consider the Republican Party "the Party of Lincoln"? His answers will make the decision for me.

@CHUBBS, or is that referencing all the saturated fat clogging your pores and cutting off circulation to your brain?? You dis-credited YOURSELF posting a comment that makes no effin sense and you obviously can't read either....I never defended Carter and said from the beginning, I could care less what he has to say because he's just concuring with an opinion I felt from Day 1 when Wilson made it....secondly, what "we" people are you talking about....I spoke of racist whites who still believe in segragation and pledge allegiance to the Confederate Flag. If you're not one, then STF up! It wasn't directed to you unless you have some racist beliefs you've buried below the surface....that's on you....so why don't take a specific quote or reference next time rather than blabbering away about nothing....you're reading quotes and not even familiar who posted them so put the Bong down for awhile and debate or go play with yourself again....

@Lefty, OK, so you refute a reference in the bill by screaming out "YOU LIE" being dis-respectful, something that has NEVER happened in History and the people are supposed to believe this is just a coincidence??? LOL Man, this is why AMerica is broke because of gullable, naive people who believe anything...I was expecting him to pull his conservative gun out, challenge Obama to a duel like Aaron Burr and shoot him next! LOL Yes, that's exactly how you're portrayed by your actions....it's just a coincidence again that Repubs try and deny his birth certificate and say he's not an American and a Muslim?? Who else had their "American patriotism" questioned ?? Coincidence again?? I never heard media heads calling Bush racist other than big mouth Kanye West, and no one cares about his views...Yes, because you don't think that way, don't automatically speak for everyone in your Party that doesn't share your train of though! If Dems did something to lead us down a $.hithole, I won't

CONT'D...just because I side with MOST of their politics. There are some Republican ideals I agree with and see their point as well....but right now, it hasn't been about the facts and if it's supposed to be, then things like "YOU LIE" and Beck callling Obama a racist and Limbaugh hoping he fails are detracting from any valid, reasonable points you're trying to illustrate? How many times already with Carter, Wright, Wilson, Limbaughetc,...will he have to be the middle man and stop the same issues we're wasting time discussing and just seems certain Repubs are committing to not let everyone hear the plan??? Wilson's outburst has totally deflected time away from what we should be focusing on and it seems to happen EVERYTIME he tries to introduce something new...coincidence again??? If he had a cure for cancer, they would say it's really a poison secretly conjured up between him and Bin Laden...LOL That's what he has to deal w/ daily..

The bigot is Jimmy Carter -- a true bigot and anti-Semitic. He stands with those who hate Israel and Jews, he stands with those who want bomb belts on the children. He stands with those who wish to throw nuclear weapons to the US, EU and Israel. He was the worse "leader" we have ever had. If it wasn't for his negligence, the Iranian overthrow would never have happened but he DID know the Ayatollah who was hiding in France -- and he hated the Shah. This person should be tried for crimes against humanity- because he's not Christian - he's a wanna be NAZI.Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2009/09/16/2009-09-16_south_carolina_rep_joe_wilsons_son_fires_back_at_jimmy_carter_m.html#ixzz0RP95HDH5

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Raising the stakes involved in the scandal surrounding the anti-poverty group ACORN, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is urging a "full investigation" by California Attorney General Jerry Brown into ACORN's California activities.
The governor sent a letter Wednesday to Brown, referring to "news stories regarding the ACORN organization that have concerned me greatly."
ACORN stands for the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. The group has come under fire after employees were caught on tape giving tax advice to conservative operatives posing as prostitutes and pimps.
The most recent video surfaced this week in San Bernardino and has been used extensively by Fox News and conservative Web sites.
"You can hear on the tape, the ACORN worker offering advice as to how to lie, how to claim that the house is a business, not a brothel," KTKZ talk show host Eric Hogue said Wednesday on his radio broadcast in Sacramento.
Callers weighed in, one saying, "It just makes me sick."
At ACORN's Sacramento offices on Florin Road, a worker who answered the door said she couldn't answer questions. Ronald Coleman, ACORN's legislative director in Sacramento, later confirmed that tax and mortgage services were being suspended for now.
"This is not how we should handle ourselves. We need to take this time to re-evaluate," Coleman said.
Bertha Lewis, ACORN's chief executive officer, called the action of the workers in the video "indefensible" and said an independent review would be launched.
It's unclear just how much federal money goes to ACORN in California. The state Department of Housing and Community development said it had no records of any state grants being awarded to ACORN.
The Sacramento ACORN office's budget is $300,000, according to state field director Christina Livingston. Many of those funds come from membership and fundraising, she said.
Outside the Sacramento office, Ruby Bradley said she was highly skeptical of the organization. She said she once applied for help with a housing loan with ACORN, but never got a response.
"I think it was poor business," Bradley said.
That complaint was echoed by Demario Anthony of Sacramento, who said his aunt's application was ignored.
"She stopped dealing with them," Anthony said. "We asked what happened, and she said she didn't want to talk about it."

Hopefully he actually wants a full investigation. There are so many things, a whistle blower with information about how they move our tax money around to political activists, 30 acorn members indicted for voter fraud and it takes this to get an investigation???

Why would anyone care what Arnold does about Acorn or anything else. He's become a laughing stock, and has been totally dismissed as nothing more than an ineffective buffoon, who has broken every promise he made to the voters.

Obamacare

Dick Morris, chief strategist for the League of American Voters, recently penned the article below for Dickmorris.com. Please take a moment to read it.
Also, we need to continuing exposing Obama and, as Dick puts it, his "fraud and trick."

Bob Adams Executive Director BEWARE THE PUBLIC OPTION TRAP
By DICK MORRIS & EILEEN MCGANN
As any good Persian rug dealer knows, you have to hold back a bargaining chit so that you can whip it out at the very end to tie down the sale. That's how Obama is playing the so-called public option in his healthcare program. His plan seems to be to combine its abandonment with some form of tort reform and try to buy off some Republicans - maybe only Maine's Olympia Snowe - to give moderate Democrats enough confidence in the veneer of bi-partisanship to win their backing for his bill.
But it's a fraud and a trick.
Here's why:
(a) Whether or not there is a public option makes no difference in the fundamental objection most elderly have to the bill - that it guts Medicare and Medicaid. All of the bills now under consideration cut these two programs by one half of a trillion dollars. And all of them require the medical community to serve thirty to fifty million new patients without any concomitant growth in the number of doctors or nurses. These cuts and shortages will lead to draconian rationing of medical care for the elderly, whether under a public option or not.
(b) The most likely proposal is to replace the public option with some form of buyer's co-op. But since there is no currently existing co-op to serve as a vehicle for health insurance, it would have to be formed. By who? The government, of course. That would mean, as a practical matter, that the "co-op option" would be a government run plan for several years. In fact, they may not get around to setting up a co-op at all.
(c) The other alternative, mentioned by Senator Snowe herself, would be for a "trigger" mechanism. This provision would require the creation of a public alternative to private insurance plans if, after a specified period of time, they did not lower rates to a pre-determined level. Given the escalation of healthcare costs, it is almost inevitable that this provision would lead to a government plan. And, anyway, who says that the government insurance option would be more successful in reducing costs?
But Obama has to at least appear to be willing to compromise, so he has invented the idea of re-packaging the public option in order to seem to be flexible.
The key, here, is not to be distracted by the debate over the public option. It matters very much to private insurance companies whether the government becomes their competitor, but, for the elderly (and the near-elderly), the key concern is not the public option by the rationing and cuts projected under the program.
In the Clinton Administration, we worked hard to kill the proposed Medicare cuts and are no less committed to stopping them in the Obama presidency. That they were once proposed by the right and are now being pushed by the left makes no difference. A cut is a cut is a cut. And Medicare should not be cut.
